John’s 60th Birthday

John loves comedy, so I got him tickets to Desert Star Playhouse for his birthday. It’s a comedy dinner theater, and the show was called “Dracula, he loved in vein.” It was basically the original Dracula story with lots of comedy. The actor who played Dracula was very funny. The only problem was we couldn’t hear some of the other actors. Popcorn came with the tickets, and then we ordered pizza and drinks. We got pictures at a few of the picture areas while waiting to be seated. I like John’s Mustang Jack. It looks like a real wanted poster of a bad guy. A cemetery was projected on the stage screen, but sadly, you can’t see it in the pictures.

Seaquest

We went to Seaquest, the hands on aquarium. The kids loved it.

Entrance had this canoe, turtles, big fish, cats, and a pig. We got tokens for food, but food was all over the floor by the machines so the kids were searching for it. Next time I’ll know.

Remi wore her witches hat to the aquarium. This turtle took the food right from her fingers.

The fish must have been hungry because they were jumping out of the water to get the food.

The big fish were hungry too. Link threw them some food and they were all over it.

These carp would swarm for food.

They even tried to eat the food through the glass.

This snake was moving all over the place

Feeding the big turtle. He wasn’t hungry. He took one bite and got tired of the kids putting food in his face so he took off, very slowly.

One of the kids favorites. The birds ate the food right out of their hands. They were so good at holding very still.

Grandpa waiting and wearing Remi’s witch hat while the kids fed the birds.

The very fluffy chickens. The had meal worms this time and the birds ate right from the hand. They didn’t like the other food that was available.

Of course, my favorite, feeding the sting rays.

Glassed in enclosure for getting up-and-close to the creatures in the tank.

Link was really good at holding still to get the fishies to nibble on his hands.

Grandpa really like having the fish eat his dead skin. They were all over his hands. Remi had a little harder time holding still enough for them to get close to her, or maybe her skin was too young and not flaky.

Another favorite of the kids, feeding the iguana’s. They were hungry so Link wanted to keep buying food for them.

The kids were thrilled when one of the iguanas escaped. A trained employee had to come catch it.

Last, but not least, the shark area. Meglodon shark mouth below.

Locke’s being swallowed and Link is conquering the shark.

Link kept trying to feed the big shark swimming around (raw meat) but it ignored it. The little fish gobbled it up.

After the aquarium the kids played at the playground right outside the aquarium. Link and Locked showed off their jumping and balancing skills.
