Church Again!

Church has only been sacrament meeting for the past year, and we could only attend once every other Sunday. It was divided by last names. A-L one week and M-Z the next week. We sat every other row and everyone wore face masks. The service was broadcast so if you couldn’t attend you could watch it at home. The sacrament was done last and they stopped the broadcast right before sacrament. The sacrament bread was brought in one big cup for each family. There were few water cups in each tray. The trays weren’t passed person to person; the deacons held on to the trays. They didn’t collect all the cups until the end.

It was interesting, but at the end of May they started full time church again. People had been getting immunized and so the spread of Covid had slowed. Mask mandates had been lifted. Siara and I went shopping for the kids some church clothes since they had outgrown their old stuff. It was great having all of us going to church again. Siara would get anxiety attacks with masks on, and John couldn’t breathe with them ,and Nate didn’t believe in them, so I was mostly the only one going to church.

Here are the cute pictures of the kids in their new church clothes.

Locke gave a talk the following week. He always volunteers for stuff. It was an awesome talk. He told his dad what he wanted to talk about, which was prayer. Nate wrote down the things Locke wanted to say, so Locke basically wrote his own talk. He talked about the things you can pray about and when and where you can pray. It was amazing! He read the whole thing himself too. He read it without hesitation. He knew all the words. So impressive for a 6 year old!
