Luminaria & Temple Square Lights

I took John, Kaity, and John R. to see Luminaria because it’s amazing. They thought it was unique and beautiful too.

Our first stop was at the Gingerbread Place to see the amazing ginger bread structures. (You can see Kaity hugging Locke on the bottom right. )

This victorian house with its crystal windows was one of my favorites.

We got some sugar coated nuts and hot chocolate and enjoyed the beautiful decorations like this pointsetta tree.

Locke came with us and had fun with John R., whom he’s followed around and had fun with since they arrived.

The tulip lights weren’t supposed to be all green, but according to a volunteer, something was wrong with their computer program. I kind of liked the tulips one solid color. I thought it was beautiful.

This was a new exhibit of a pathway that turned colors when you walked on it. I like things that are interactive, and so it seems did all the people who were enjoying it.

Kaity and John love animals, so they liked this exhibit.

It was a very cold night and we all had face scarves on, a lot of the time, but the fire pits were nice and warm.

This light tunnel was a new exhibit too. There were several new exhibits and changes, which made Luminaria even more fun.

The path circles back to the beginning, so here we are at the end. Locke wanted to go around again.

I’m surprised I didn’t take any pictures of the Christ statues. Kaity really liked that garden. Here is daytime view of the statues. They are even more beautiful at night with the lanterns and lighting.
