Christmas Day 2019

It’s a tradition with Nate’s family to make an egg sausage pizza and sticky buns for Christmas morning. Yum!!

Great Grandma Florer got the boys a teeter totter. It was supposed to be a surprise, so we left on the front porch until gift time, but Link found it and dragged it in. It was heavy too. He really wanted it. The boys are trying it out below.

After breakfast the kids started opening up their presents. John got a remote controlled robot snake that he was excited about. Locke got more legos

Link got a police truck vehicle carrier and an airplane from Grandma and Grandpa Martin that he loved. Not sure what’s in this package, but him trying to open it showed his terrible 2 and 3 year old personality lately. Lol.

Remi would rather sit on her presents. We helped show her how to tear open the wrapping paper on her presents. She got lots of wonderful things. She is sitting on her pushing toy I got her to help her learn how to walk. She also got My Little Ponies, some Disney princess cars, and a Frozen riding car from Grandma and Grandpa Martin.

This is video I shot later of Remi using her walker to help her walk. I slowed it down a bit so we didn’t miss anything.

Remi got this really soft blanket from Grandma and Grandpa Martin. She tried to wrap herself in it. Grandma and Grandpa Martin also sent a blanket to each to the boys.

This is Locke’s blanket. Locke and Link’s blanket looked basically the same. They were super soft and the boys love sleeping with them.

Siara got this amazing camera lamp from Nate’s parents. She loves it!

John R. getting ready to open the gift from Grandma and Grandpa Whitman.

He’s so excited. He got a hoverboard. The video below shows him opening it. I also got on for Locke too.

This is John’s first time to try it out. It takes some getting used to, but in no time he was zooming around the house on it.

This is Locke’s hoverboard. I got Link a cart that it attaches to because I thought he would be too young to ride the hoverboard standing up.

This is video I shot of Locke a few weeks after Christmas. Wow! He almost looks like his feet are glued to the hoverboard. Oh, to be young, dexterous, and unafraid.

Everyone loved the hoverboard on the cart and we all tried it out. It was fast and powerful. I want one now. John M. ordered one for John R.’s hoverboard.

Josie and Nathan came over for dinner and brought the boys this basketball set. They had a ball with it. They also gave John R. a science lab where he chipped rocks out of cement and could make a volcano. He spent a day having fun doing that while he was here.

Our family Christmas dinner. We basically had a Thanksgiving meal since we missed Thanksgiving this year. Nate deep fried the turkey. Siara made home made rolls. Josie made her famous mashed potatoes. It was all yummy.

After dinner we played games. Nate and Siara’s friend, Justin, came over and played too because his wife had to work in Park City as a massage therapist for Christmas.

Josie was really good at throwing the burrito, but I think she peeked.
