Baby Goats

The goat, Kerrigan, has been pregnant from the time they bought her. Lately, she has looked ready to pop. I was glad she didn’t have her babies while everyone was gone for Thanksgiving. Having goat babies in winter can be dangerous because they could die if they get wet and cold. Luckily, she had them in the middle of the day and Siara caught it in time so she could dry them off with towels. They put a heat lamp in the enclosure to help keep them warm. Kerrigan had two girls and one boy. They are cute little balls of fur that are fun to pick up and snuggle.

After about a week or so, the babies came out of their pen on a warm day.
