Siara and Nate bought four goats. One Nubian, one dwarf. There are two females which had recently had babies and could be milked. The dwarf has creamy milk and the Nubian has milk that tastes like a cows milk. Goat milk is supposed to be healthier for humans than cow milk. They also got a furry white male goat for mating with the females. His name is Maverick. They also got him a companion goat that is a sterile female. Goats are very social creatures and they need friends. They fit all the goats in the back of the jeep. The Nubian kept staring over the seat as they drove. These are the two females. They like eating these tree leaves. The other two goats are in the pen behind them because Siara and Nate don’t want the male to mate with the females just yet. The two groups take turns in the pen. When they are out of the pen, the goats graze on the weeds in the back pasture, which might be good weed control.
The goats are so social. They follow us around whenever we are in the back fenced in area.
The goats got upset when we left them alone. The Nubian sounds like a wailing human. It’s so funny.
