I helped Nathan on Tuesday again. He had the stint taken out. He was still in a lot of pain for a few days after but it was better than having it in.

School got out this week. The last day was on Tuesday and then they had a school barbecue party on Wednesday at Miss Cathy’s new house and then went swimming at Crystal Hot Springs

Below are Link and Locke’s report cards and reading tests

On Thursday Jake from Beehive Buildings came over and we signed the contract for them to build a barn building to code for residential use. It will just be the shell for now, but it will also be insulated. It’s called the warm and dry shell. It cost 235,000. Building materials are really high right now because of demand and Covid supply issues. The only thing I’m worried about is window placement because if the floor plan doesn’t work because of engineering changes, the windows could be in the wrong places. I also worry about the size of windows. It’s hard to figure out size without seeing them first. We put a downpayment of 60,000 down. Siara and Nate are contributing that much right now. We will pay for the rest, but they will have to contribute more later because their part will cost more than 60,000. We will use the money they pay us back with to finish our side of the barn. They are using their side of the barn for Nate’s new office that he’ll move into in April when his lease runs out. Beehive will start building in October and be done by the beginning of December. The barn will look something like the picture below.

This is what it will look like when its done.

Siara and Nate went out of town again this weekend for a surprise 70th birthday party for his dad in St. George. His mom had rented a large Airbnb for them all to stay at. They went swimming, had a dance party, and had lots of fun family meals. Nate was the D. J. for the dance party. It was a seventies theme. I love Nate’s and Jon’s drawn on sideburns and chest hairs. So funny!

They also went to Veyo Pool and Crawdad Canyon Resort. Not only did they swim and catch crawdads, Siara said the food was amazing

Having them gone was really helpful so I could get caught up on a lot of work. On Friday I went over to my mom’s and helped build her spice rack. It turned out really well, but it took awhile to do. I worked on it for four hours because I had to get some additional boards to brace the back, and then I put together the shelves and screwed them onto the board. Lastly, I had to attach it to the wall by the fridge so it wouldn’t fall over.

My 58th birthday was on Sunday. Siara got me a whole bunch of expensive pants. They fit perfectly. It’s hard to find pants that fit so well. They were all super cute too. Mom was going to do a birthday dinner but the kids were going to be out of town.

John and Ali went bike riding some more this week. They went all the way to Rogers to Susie Q’s. It was a 35 mile ride.
