Adobe Rock Days
The Adobe Rock and Gravel Pit, that was just down the road, had their first annual event day. It was all free. Big husky workers were directing traffic. After we parked, the first thing the kids wanted to do was climb the gravel mountains. Every kid dreams of doing that. After climbing it, they could slide down it. So much fun!
Even Remi climbed the gravel hills. She especially liked the sliding part.
After climbing the huge piles of gravel, we climbed up to the control tower and could see all around the gravel pit.
Next we went and checked out the large trucks and tractors, Link’s favorite. They got to climb on them and get in the cockpit.
Huge Rock Truck
Locke saw his friend Cayden from his soccer team.
The Bulldozer
The Loader
All the kids loved honking the horns on the machines. So noisy!
Link scooped up a Locke.
Next we went to the office area and got free sodas and snacks such as cookies, crackers or chips. Of course the kids picked cookies.
Near the office area was this shark giving away tractor and truck toys. Remi was a little afraid, until she saw the toy.
Next, the kids had to play on the jump houses.
Remi painted a rock while the boys jumped. She painted every inch of it. It turned out really pretty. It was glitter paint and she used several different colors on her rock.
There was also face painting, food trucks, and a contest to guess how much a large rock weighed. It was a great event! The kids really enjoyed it.
