Planetarium

I got to spend a fun day with Kaity and John. We got to enjoy all the free exhibits at the planetarium.

Walking on planets.

Landing a lunar module. John was really good at it.

Building a rocket. It was more difficult than it looked. You had to decide what parts to put on it such as how many rockets and where to locate them, and then try to launch it into space. Most of the time it crashed. John eventually built one that flew.

John and Kaity have super powers!

Watching ice freeze.

Up close to the sun. There were several screens with different scenes on them. On some you could control certain things like meteors hitting a planet.

A heat sensing camera displayed body heat on a screen. You could put your hand on the red(hot) or blue(cold) pad and then see the temperature of your hand on the screen. You could also put your hand on the heated or cooled shapes next to the pads. A shape would show up on your hand when you held it up.

After exploring the planetarium, we went to the soda shop that had unusual flavors. We bought some to try with the family. I got marshmallow, maple and bacon,

We ended with dinner at the beautiful Cheesecake Factory at City Creek Mall. Yum!!

John likes fish and got an adult sized plate of fish. Love his face! He also said the Utah was crazy with all sorts of amazing things to do and see. I was glad to hear that because I want them to move here.
