Fire at Lakepoint

There was a fire near us on the mountain. I had some errands to run in Salt Lake City and that was the first time I saw it. The first picture shows what it looked like when I left. The second picture shows how much it had spread during the few hours I had been gone.

Within a few hours the fire had spread and covered the mountain. Planes and helicopters were dropping orange chemicals around the edges to prevent it from spreading more. I could see the smoke when I was in Salt Lake. Fortunately, it rained after a couple of days of burning and that helped put it out.
