Locke’s First Day of Kindergarten
Locke is attending the Bonneville Charter School. We walked him in on his first day, even though he said he could do it himself. He is so social and independent. But he started to feel a little unsure once he got in the classroom, maybe because he wasn’t sitting near any of his friends. He was sitting at a table with all girls. His teacher picked up on that and put him in a new spot, and he also got a crown for being student of the week (student of the week is chosen by birthday).
This is Locke’s teacher, Mrs. . The kids get to play with educational toys at their desk before class starts. That helps with any initial anxiety.
There is a hall in the classroom where they put their coats and backpacks. They also have a door that goes directly to the playground, and they have a bathroom in the classroom. The lunch room is right next door to the classroom. Great set up for Kindergartners!
